  Cork

Cork is situated in the South West of Ireland, it is the largest of all the Irish counties and in many ways the most varied. Rich farmlands and river valleys contrast with the wild sandstone hills of the west, and above all there is the magnificent coastline scooped and fretted by the Atlantic into great bays and secret coves, strewn with rocky headlands and long soft golden sands.

The River Lee flows through the city, an island in the river forming the main part of the city centre just before the Lee flows into Lough Mahon and thence to Cork Harbour, one of the world's largest natural harbours. The city is a major Irish seaport with quays and docks sited along the broad waterway of the Lee on the city's East side.

Conference Venue

The conference venue is the Clarion Hotel Cork. The hotel boasts a superb location, overlooking the calm waters of the River Lee and just opposite the City Hall. From this city centre hotel, guests can walk along the river path to reach just about anywhere in Cork, such as the main shopping street, business area, University College Cork as well as Cork's bus station and Kent Train Station.

EWSN'09 has arranged for special rates with the Clarion Hotel Cork and you can get a special rate of 135 Euro for Bed & Breakfast for single occupancy or 150 Euro for Bed & Breakfast for double occupancy. Please contact for booking the hotel directly and mention the EWSN conference rate:
